Virginia (Suranski) Valigura

Virginia (Suranski) Valigura 88, of Springdale, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 27, 2018. She was born on January 23, 1930 to her parents, the late Charles F. and Anna (Marks) Suranski.  Virginia was a 1947 graduate of McKeesport high school, 1948 graduate of Mason Frederick’s Beauty school, she passed the state boards and worked 9 years as a Beauty Operator.  She moved to Springdale in 1956 when she married the late Michael Valigura.  Mrs. Valigura was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Springdale.  Virginia’s life revolved around her son Bobby, her family and her many friends.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Michael and brother Charles F. Suranski Jr.

Surviving her are: Son, Robert Valigura, Nephews, David (Christine) Kern, Richard Kern, Gary Kern, Joseph (Julie) Kern, Charles D. (Peg) Suranski, Richard (Lori) Suranski, Eric (Laurie) Suranski, niece Claudia (Paul) Shaheen and great nephews and nieces John Kern, Laurie Kern, Cheyenne Kern, Isaac Kern, Rebecca Kern, Matthew Kern, Hannah Kern, David (Brandi) Suranski, Matthew (Denelle) Suranski, Shane (Stephanie) Suranski, Dr. Nick Shaheen, Dr. Caitlin Shaheen, Kelly Shaheen and Carrie Shaheen.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 30th from 2-4 and 6-8pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am in St. Alphonsus Church by the Rev. Kenneth Kezmarsky officiating.
