Taylor Edward Pawlish, 42, of McKees Rocks, passed away late Monday night, Feb. 27, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian. Taylor spent his early life in McKees Rocks, but moved to York, S.C., where he graduated from York Comprehensive High School. His passion for golf took him to different courses near and far; his favorite being playing the Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland, while on one of his many trips with his wife, Monica. His love for golf was surpassed only by his love for Heinz ketchup and bourbon, but not together. Taylor will be remembered for his sense of humor, loyalty and friendship, as well as his mastery of the grill and love for all things Star Wars. He was an accomplished handyman who took care of renovations and restorations on his Victorian home in Glenshaw, while watching over his beloved King Charles Spaniels, Leonard, Sheldon and Fergus. He worked for more than 20 years for Gordon Terminal and was a proud Union member. Taylor was preceded in death by Keith Pawlish Sr. He will be survived by his wife, Monica (Valentine); his parents, Leslie and Ray Patton; his grandmother, Sally Hunt; his brothers, Keith (Christina) and Eric (Mel); and his nieces and nephews, Trevor, Ashlyn, Isaac, Cade, Jasmin, Sully, Sara, Layla, Jenna, Eli and Adi Rose. He is also survived by his in-laws, Amara Valentine and John and Barb Valentine, as well as his brother-in-law, Russell (Amber) and their children, Brenden and Abby. There will be a celebration of his life at a time and place to be determined Saturday, April 15, 2023. Arrangements are by THE CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOMES INC., 801 Pittsburgh St. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The First Tee, firstteepittsburgh.org, where Taylor was an active volunteer. www.jarviefuneralhome.com.
