Stanley "Stan" L. Malak, 79, of Harmar, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021. He was born Aug. 9, 1941, to his late parents, Stanley and Margaret Chernan Malak and has been a lifelong resident of the community. He worked for Gulf Research and later Harmar Water Authority where he eventually retired. Stan belonged to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Harwick, American Legion No. 48, Natrona Heights, and the Harmar Fire Department. Mr. Malak served on the Allegheny Valley School Board for 10 years as well as on the board of directors of Harmar Water Authority. He was passionate about gardening and making the community a beautiful place to live with his flower boxes that he built and planted and placing flags for Veteran's on the ramps of Route 28. Surviving him is his loving wife, Melanie Warady Malak; two sons; one daughter; and one stepdaughter; two brothers and one sister. Mr. Malak's services and burial were held privately, and he was laid to rest in St. Ladislaw Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Funeral arranging was by CHARLES B.
