Sheree L. (Couch) Funkhouser, 70, of Springdale, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side Friday, April. 18, 2025. Mrs. Funkhouser was born Aug. 11, 1954, to her late parents, Myles and Lavern Bailey Couch. She graduated from Springdale High School in 1972 and worked for AVI Food Systems as a cafeteria manager at the PPG Springdale Plant until her retirement. Sheree was a member of the Krivan Hall Association and enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Sports teams, spending time at the back yard pool with her family and friends, especially with her dog Vernie and good friend Sharon. Sheree enjoyed cooking and loved sharing delicious meals with her late mother-in-law, Josephine Funkhouser. Surviving her is her husband of 45 years Mark, sons, John (Morgan Davis) Funkhouser, of Springdale, and Brian (Lisa) Couch, of South Side; brother, Dale (Elaine) Couch, of California; and sisters-in-law Catherine Conroy (the late George) Petroff, Audrey (Joseph) Nowicki, Debra Jo (David McCutcheon) Funkhouser, Mary (Geno) Valicenti all of Florida, Joann (Anthony) Grieco of Allison Park and brother-in-law David Funkhouser (Laryssa Domlovil) of Myrtle Beach. Sheree also had many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember her fondly. In addition to her parents, Sheree is preceded in death by her sister, Sharlene Couch Simoncic, and brother-in-law, Don Simoncic.
Friends will be received Monday April 21, 2025, from 4 -8pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St., blessing service to commence at 11am.
