Sharlene L. (Couch) Simoncic

Sharlene L. (Couch) Simoncic, 73, of West Deer Township, passed away peacefully in the home of her daughter with her family at her side Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023. Mrs. Simoncic was born Aug. 8, 1950, to her late parents, Myles and Lavern Bailey Couch. She graduated from Springdale High School in 1968 and worked for Deer Lakes School District until her retirement. Sharlene was a member of Our Lady of Victory/Guardian Angel Parish Church and enjoyed baking, spending time at the beach with her family, but most important were her grandchildren, whom she loved very much. Surviving her are daughters, Heather (Jim) Chase, of Cheswick, and Melissa (Chris) Sirota, of West Deer Township; four grandchildren, Mila, Kiersten, Zachary, and Alexis; brother, Dale (Elaine) Couch, of California; and sister, Sheree (Mark) Funkhouser, of Springdale. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald A. Simoncic in 2018. Friends will be received  from 4 until services at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, in THE CHARLES B.
