Samuel J. Renaldi Jr., age 78, of Springdale, passed away peacefully at his home on May 19, 2026. Born on April 16, 1948, he was the beloved son of the late Samuel J. Renaldi Sr. and Ann (Keblusek) Renaldi.
Sam was a proud graduate of Springdale High School, where he met the love of his life, Glenna (Boyer) Renaldi. The two built a beautiful life together, celebrating 55 years of marriage filled with devotion, partnership, and family.
After high school, Sam continued his education at CCAC and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy. Following his service, he enjoyed a long and dedicated career as a technician at the Gulf Research Center in Harmar, where he was respected for his skill, work ethic, and quiet reliability.
Sam’s greatest joy came from supporting his family and community. He was a familiar and enthusiastic presence at Dynamo events, especially those involving his grandchildren. His passion for the Dynamo football program led him to serve as the team’s videographer, a role he cherished.
A lifelong Pittsburgh sports fan, Sam loved cheering on his teams from home. He was also a proud Lionel train collector, known for hosting Christmas open houses where he shared his elaborate train displays with neighbors, friends, and children throughout the community.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents.
