Ruth Ann (Hochmuth) Volk, 68, of Cheswick, passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023. She was born Feb. 16, 1955, to her parents, the late Gerald and Adelaide Trusiak Hochmuth, and had been a longtime member of the community. She worked at Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont for many years and St. Margaret Hospital, where she retired. Mrs. Volk was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed reading the Bible, traveling with her husband, Joe, and her many feline friends. She was truly a people person and will be missed by all. Surviving her are loving husband, Joseph E. Volk Jr.; Son William K. Ryan; two sisters, Debra Mier, of Greensburg, and Kathleen Hochmuth, of New Kensington; two nephews, Deric Mier and Timothy Orr; two nieces, Megen and Valerie; cousins, Joann Bogert and Bonita Panighatti; and many other loving cousins. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St., where blessing services will start at 11 a.m. Saturday with burial to follow in Deer Creek Cemetery.
