Ruth E. Mink

Ruth E. Mink, 90, of Springdale, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2023. She was born Sept. 12, 1932, to the late Harry and Grace Leasure. She was the loving wife of the late Henry Mink Jr.; loving mother to Randy (Jill) Mink, David (Renee) Mink and Ruth Ann (Joseph) Guzolik; grandmother to Jason Kirchoff, Nicole Swartz, Ryan Mink, Natalie Farina and Hannah Guzolik; and great-grandmother to Asher Henry Swartz. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Edna Mink, Nancy Andrasy and Lois Bell. Ruth was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Springdale. She retired from Allegheny Valley School District after 35 years as a cafeteria worker. Ruth dedicated many years of her life to various organizations for which she received many accolades. She was a den mother in the Boy Scouts for 10 years before volunteering in numerous positions for more than 45 years with the Girl Scouts. Ruth also served her community by being a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Springdale Volunteer Fire Department. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Western Pennsylvania Fireman's Association, as well as the auxiliary of Past Presidents and Old Timers. Family and friends will be received from 3 p.m. until services at 6:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, in THE CHARLES B.
