Roman K. Gibbs

Roman Kristofer Gibbs, 18, of New Kensington, passed away unexpectedly on June 5, 2025.

Born on February 11, 2007, Roman was the beloved son of Jason Gibbs and Malinda (Maddox) Daugherty. A kind and spirited young man, Roman had a natural talent for welding and found peace and joy in fishing and spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his loving mother and stepfather, Malinda and Daniel Daugherty III; his brothers, Shawn and Joseph; his sisters, Laurie, Sophia, and Jeanna; and his cherished nephew, Xander. Roman is also survived by his grandparents Jenny (McPherson) Maddox, Paula (Dzanaji) Daugherty, Sheree (Brim) Gibbs, Larry Fox and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Daniel Daugherty Jr., Dennis Goggins, and James “Chubbs” Gibbs, as well as his great-grandparents June and David McPherson and Paul and Shirley Brim.

Funeral arrangements will be private. A celebration of Roman’s life will be announced at a later date. In honor of his memory, contributions may be made to organizations dedicated to suicide prevention.

Roman will be remembered for his warmth, creativity, and the love he shared with those who knew him.
