Roberta Tabish Obituary

Roberta Mae Watychowicz-Tabish, 84, loving wife and mother of her three children, passed peacefully and went on to be with our Lord Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021. Roberta was born June 7, 1936 in Pittsburgh, to Felix and Amelia (Emily) Watychowicz. She worked in the library of Gulf Oil Research Laboratory, formerly located in Harmar Township. She met her future husband Henry Jacob Tabish while working there and they married on Dec. 11, 1965. They raised three children, Amy, Mark, and Jennifer. Roberta enjoyed gardening, bird watching, cooking, holiday parties with family and friends and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Any and all were always welcomed into her home. She was well-known for her quick wit, her infectious laughter, and her generosity and compassion for others, always putting others before herself. She was a woman of strong faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and served in many capacities, including the pianist at Indianola United Presbyterian Church. She worked with the community's children for many years during summer months in an arts and crafts program at the church. She also served on the Ladies Auxiliary for the Dorseyville Fire Department. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Tabish. She leaves behind her three children, Amy Kathryn Tabish-Siverd, Mark Henry Tabish and Jennifer Lenora Tabish. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Emily Siverd-Wylie, Logan Siverd, Zachary Tabish, Jacob Tabish and Mackenzie Tabish. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Aurora and Liliana Wylie. Public visitation followed by a private service for family will be held on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, at The CHARLES B.
