Robert L. Watychowicz

Robert L. Watychowicz, 87, of Indianola, passed away at home Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022. He was born March 26, 1935, to his late parents, Stanley and Mabel Gray Watychowicz, and has been a lifelong resident. Robert graduated from West Deer High School and then served in the U.S. Army as a medic. After his discharge, he worked for Beckwith Machinery and most recently, Grainger Building Supply, where he retired. Mr. Watychowicz was a member of Indianola United Presbyterian Church, where he would help with carpentry and electric work. He was a true tradesman. He enjoyed his dogs, Sammy and Rascal, hunting and fishing, reloading his bullets and making arrows for everyone as well as spending time in the woods and bird watching. He especially relished spending time on his son Ken's farm. He will be missed. Surviving are his daughter, Tammy Watychowicz, of Indianola, daughter, Janie (Michael) Sweazen, of Beaver Falls, son, Ken (Peggy Holfelder) Watychowicz, of Frazer Township. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Janet (Starr) Watychowicz.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, in THE CHARLES B.
