Robert D. Logan

Robert D. Logan, 91, of Springdale, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023, surrounded by family. He was born Jan. 1, 1932, to his late parents, David and Genevive Buzzard Logan. Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After serving, he worked as a lab technologist at several companies including Penn Drake Refinery, Gulf Research and Alcoa Technical Center, retiring in 1993. Bob loved spending time with his family and traveling around the U.S. and Europe. His favorite hobby was photography, taking his camera wherever he went. Bob was involved in many organizations. He was assistant Scout Master to Troop 153, a member of Springdale United Presbyterian Church, The Springdale/Cheswick Lions Club, Argyle Lodge No. 540 Free and Accepted Masons and Lodge Council Chapter Consistory of New Castle, and Alcoa Technical Center Toastmasters where he served as president. Surviving him are his loving wife, Vivian; daughter, Denise Elliott, of Springdale; son, Robert (Sheri) Logan, of Springdale; son, Paul (Bonnie) Logan, of Washington; daughter, Lori (Rod) Knox, of Sarver; and grandchildren, Will (Sasha) Elliott, Elizabeth (Huy Dang) Elliott, Caitlin Knox, Connor Knox, Sean Caffas, Amanda Bowser, Richard (Alanna) Caffas, Sara (Steve) Bonacci and Alicia Snow. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and many close nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by his brothers, Cy, David and Donald; and sisters, Sue, Maxine and Mary. Bob would like to express his thanks to everyone for celebrating his birthday. The family would like to thank his nurse, Angie, for taking care of him over the last few years "and support caregiver Christine O'Donnell".  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 2023. Services will start at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
