Robert Hayes 96, of Harmar, passed away April 30, 2024, in UPMC St. Margaret Hospital. He was born March 2, 1928, to his late parents, James and Mary Donahue Hayes and has been a lifelong resident of the community. Mr. Hayes served in the U.S. Army during WWII and is of the catholic faith. He owned and operated The Drop Inn in Springdale with his beloved wife Gloria and worked for PPG in Creighton for 43 years before retiring. Bob enjoyed fishing and camping in his spare time but especially relished his family.

Daughter’s Doris Hayes Federoff of Cheswick
Gail (Daniel) Ferrari of Cheswick
Grandchildren Atalie, Evan, Daniel, Emily, Katie, Jake, Jessica and Dylan.
Great-grandchildren Hayden, Kennedy, Lucy, Hugo, Christopher, Nicholas, Benjamin. Sophia and future grandson to arrive soon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded by one brother, William Hayes and two sister’s Irene Fellers and Margaret Batishko.
Mr. Hayes services are private, and burial will be in Deer Creek Cemetery.
