Robert J. Dougherty

Robert ‘Doc” Dougherty 87, of Cheswick, passed away at home on July 28, 2024.  He was born January 11, 1937, to his late parents, Kenneth and Leonora Deere Dougherty and has been a longtime resident of the valley.  He proudly served in The U.S. Marines.  After his discharge from the service, he worked for PPG Industries where he eventually retired.  Doc was a trivia enthusiast, always willing to help solve a question.

Surviving him are:

Sons are Daniel Dougherty and Thomas Dougherty.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret “Peggy” Dougherty.

The burial will be private in Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
