Phyllis Marie Foote

Phyllis Marie Foote, 78, of Fredericksburg, VA passed away on December 12, 2024. Phyllis was born to the late Mary Stangler Sholhead and Nicholas Sholhead. She is survived by her beloved John Cooner, his daughter Alicia Perko ( David)and son Baron Cooner, sister Joanne Sholhead Tano ( Thomas ),brother  John Sholhead ( Wita ), sister Lisa Lynn Sholhead Peterson and sister Kimberly Sholhead Crepea and many nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was a 1964 graduate of Springdale High School and attended the University of Michigan and the University of Cincinnati and was a budget analyst for the U.S. Government in Washington, D.C. for 35 years.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, studied history, taught English as a second language, loved visiting museums and the Shenandoah National Park.

Try to remember Phyllis for her humor and intelligence and her caring, giving heart.

A memorial service will be held in Fredericksburg, VA
