Paula K. (Matisz) Schaffer

Paula K. (Matisz) Schaffer, 73, of Penn Hills, passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022. She was born April 23, 1949, to her parents, the late Paul and Dorothy Taylor Matisz, and has been a longtime resident of the valley. She worked for U.S. Steel before retiring. Surviving her are her loving husband of 44 years, James A. Schaffer; daughter, Sara Anne Schaffer, of Aspinwall; and best friends, Jackie Unrue and her husband, Kermit, who were always there for them and treated them like their family. Besides her parents, Paula was also preceded in death by a brother, James Allen Matisz. Friends are welcome for visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022, in THE CHARLES B.
