Paul A. Pongrance, 88, of Cheswick, passed away Nov. 3, 2022, in Concordia Residence, Allison Park. He was born Aug. 13, 1934, in Soldier, to his late parents, Paul and Susan Pongrance. He lived in Rural Ridge until 1962 before moving to Cheswick. He was a graduate of Springdale High School, Class of 1952. He served in the Army and was in the 125th Signal Corp. and the 458th Eng. Corp. After his discharge, he worked for Gulf Research for 23 years and later for U-Park. Mr. Pongrance belonged to St. Vladimir Byzatine Catholic Church, New Kensington, where he worked the bingo games and always helped make pierogi in the kitchen. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and golfing. Surviving him is his son, Paul Pongrance, of Cheswick. Besides his parents, he is also preceded by his loving wife, Sylvia (Kusbit) Pongrance; a daughter, Lynne Pongrance, in 2021; and one sister, Evelyn Metal.
