Michael B. Hafera

Michael B. Hafera, 72, of Fawn Township (formerly of Harwick) passed away peacefully in his home on Monday June 1, 2026. Born January 17, 1954, to the late Paul and Maida (Sloan) Hafera, but resided at his beloved home in Natrona Heights the majority of his life. He took great pride in his landscaped yard and garden, and enjoyed relaxing evenings at the pond. Michael was a retired hardworking Roofer, most recently of Strongland Roofing. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at their family camp in Brookville. Mr. Hafera is survived by his daughter Julianne (Ian) Vergari of Windber, his granddaughter Giavanna Vergari, his three brothers Paul (Peggy) Hafera of Rochester Mills, Jeffery Hafera of Beaver, and Thomas Hafera of Tennessee. As well as his three sisters Laurie (Marty) Garrigan of Springdale, Christine Hafera (Dave Dawes) of Harwick, and Lisa Fornino of Wall, New Jersey. The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, June 4nd, from 3-7:00 at the CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME 801 Pittsburgh Street Springdale PA 15144. A graveside service will be held Friday morning at 10:30am in the Chapel of MT AIRY CEMETERY, 2800 Old Freeport Rd Natrona Heights PA 15065.
