Matthew S. Phillips

Matthew S. Phillips, 42, of Springdale Township, passed away at home Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021. He was born Oct. 31, 1978, to his mother, Ellen Sherosky Phillips, and his father, the late Daniel Phillips. He was of the Christian faith and has been a longtime resident of the community. He belonged to the Springdale Sportsman Club and The Springdale Veteran's Association. Matt enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a devout Penn State fan as well as a Pittsburgh sports fanatic. Surviving him are his loving mother, Ellen Sherosky Phillips; sister, Danell (Adam) Stover, of Aliquippa; four daughters, Taylor, Madison, Jenna and Kellie Phillips; Reece and Keaton Stover, his nephew and niece, as well as cousins, aunts and uncles and close friends. A celebration of his life will be held from 1 until 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at the Springdale Veteran's Association.
