Mary C. (Kubaska) McGonigle

Mary C. McGonigle, 88, of Springdale passed away Wednesday, November 14th at her home in Medina Ohio. Mary graduated from Springdale High School in 1948. She worked at a local pharmacy where she met and married Charles T. McGonigle. The family moved to Erie, Pa in 1962 and thrived until Charles’ retirement in 1993. They then moved back home to Cheswick, Pa. Mary’s interest included taking care of her family, bingo, gardening and baking. She was a parishioner of St. Alphonsus Church in Springdale. Surviving are her son and daughter, Thomas McGonigle of Medina Ohio and Cynthia (Curt) Fontaine of Latrobe, Pa. along with three grandchildren; Kelly McGonigle and Justin and Eric Fontaine. Preceded by her husband Charles, parents Frank and Theresa Kubaska, brothers Frank, Martin and Richard Kubaska and sisters Ann Szajna and Frances Vokisk. No Public Visitations. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Monday November 19 in St. Alphonsus Church 750 Pittsburgh Street Springdale with burial next to her husband to follow in Deer Creek Cemetery Harmar Twp.  Arrangements under the care of the Charles B. Jarvie Funeral Home Inc. Springdale/ Cheswick Pa.
