Mary Hrobak Obituary

Mary Gorta Hrobak, of Allegheny Township, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, at St. Margaret Hospital, surrounded by loving family members, of complications that accumulated after surgery for a fall. She was the treasured mother of three daughters, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and was married to Charles Hrobak for 62 happy years before his death in 2016. Born in Curtisville July 9, 1930, yet forever 68, Mary was a kind and caring person who had a deep faith in God and love so extreme for her daughters, grandchildren and immediate family members, that words could never express the depth of her feelings. She was a "world-class worrier" about the people she loved. Mary worked at the Watson Standard Co. for 24 years and enjoyed traveling, cruises, casinos, Las Vegas, bowling, golf, winters in Florida with Charles and spending time with family. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church in Harwick, Honey Bunny Bowling League, West Deer High School Alumni Association, Polish National Alliance, SNPJ, United Musicians of Pennsylvania Polka Association (UMPAPA), American Slovenia Club (social member), American POW Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, New Kensington Veterans Home Association and Korean War Ex-POW Association. She is survived by the people she loved with all her heart. They include her three daughters, Lynette Revill (John Longarini), Darlene Gardner (Kurt Gardner) and Adrienne Fritz (John Husar); her seven grandchildren, Ross Revill, Marlee Fritz (Chris Osborne), Paige Gardner, Clay Fritz, Reva Revill (Chris Wilcox), Brian Gardner (fiance Nora Eskin) and Blair Fritz; her two great-grandchildren, Henry and Harrison Osborne; her godsons, Frank Bzorek and Frank Hrobak; her best friend, Bea Yurjevich; many nieces and nephews; and her wonderful neighbors and dear friends, whom she spent many hours and great times with. She was preceded in death by Charles, the love of her life; and her much-loved parents Rose and Frank Gorta. A private viewing for family and close friends will be held Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, at the CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St. Everyone is invited to attend and celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Victory Church, Guardian Angels Parish at noon Thursday in Harwick. Please follow covid-19 protocols. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's name can be made to the National League of POWs-MIA Family, 5673 Columbia Pike, Suite 100, Falls Church, VA 22041, or Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
