Mark J. Martin

Mark J. Martin, 66, of Springdale, died peacefully on January 30, 2025, after courageously battling a lengthy illness. Mark was born in New Kensington on June 3, 1958, to his loving parents, Peter Martin and Loretta (Bobshosky) Martin. Beloved husband of the late Melody J. (Shemenski) Martin who he missed whole-heartedly for over 24 years. Surviving are his three loved children, Carly Simmen (Rich) of McCandless, Matthew Martin (Melanie) of Lower Burrell, and Marcus Martin of Glenshaw. Mark was also the loving Pappy of Payton, Paige, Brenna, Cameron, Mason, and Great-Grand Pappy to Kinley. He is also survived by his sister Carrie (Dane) Powell, brother John (Rose) Martin, and many loving extended families. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Melody, and brothers David (Sally) Martin and Daniel (Rose) Martin. A devoted carpenter for Mozart Management for over 44 years, Mark looked forward to his upcoming retirement in February. He had an incredible green thumb and enjoyed tending to his garden and countless flower beds and especially loved taking pictures of his adoring family.
