Mark A. Grinder, 59, of Titusville, Fla., formerly of Springdale, died suddenly Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, while living in Florida. Born to late William R. and Alice N. Grinder, Mark was a 1981 graduate of Springdale High School, where he made many close friends that remain this day. Mark continued his education at IUP, graduating with a degree in safety sciences. After graduation, he moved to Florida to begin his career in safety at the Kennedy Space Center. During his employment, he became a senior safety engineer and was regarded by many to be highly intelligent, competent and a leader/teacher to many other employees. Mark was preceded in death by his father, William; grandparents; several aunts and uncles; and his canine "pal," Patton. He is survived by his mother, Alice; sister, Jan (Robert) Hartman; and nephew, Nathan Hartman, all of Landsdale. In addition, he is also survived by many cousins and his closest companions, his dogs, Bella and Charlie. His family is truly grateful to all the caring and compassionate friends, who gave him so much to make a very difficult time a little easier. A celebration of Mark's life will be planned at a later date. If you would like to make a memorial contribution in Mark's name, please donate to Paw's across America or your local animal shelter. Mark was an avid animal lover and would appreciate you acknowledging him with those organizations. God bless you all.
