Marion "Tutty" (Rousseau) Lessig, 89, of Cheswick, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in UPMC St. Margaret Hospital. She was born Dec. 21, 1932, to her late parents, Edward and Mary Cherpak Rousseau, and had been a lifelong resident of the Valley. Mrs. Lessig was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Harwick, Guardian Angel Parish. She worked as a cook for Shady Side Academy for many years, where she eventually retired. Tutty was an avid bowler and huge sports fan, often watching ESPN all day long. She volunteered with the Community Food Bank of Springdale and Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley. She will be sadly missed. Surviving her are son, Wayne (Jami) Lessig, of Rural Valley; daughter, Patricia (Steve) Cochran, of Freeport; son, Ken "Butch" (Jeanne) Lessig, of Natrona Heights; daughter, Janet Fish, of Florida; sister, Audrey Vojta, of Montana; four grandchildren, Daashia, Morgyn, Tyler and Lacey; and three great-grandchildren, Raynor, Lennox and Jaggar. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Lessig, in 1995. Friends are welcome for visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2022, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St., where a blessing service will commence at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, with burial to follow in Deer Creek Cemetery.
