Louis L. Hoetzlein 82, of Harwick, passed away May 29, 2025, in UPMC St. Margaret Hospital. He was born June 3, 1942, to his parents, the late Frank and Elizabeth McMullen Hoetzlein and has been a long time resident of our valley. He graduated from Central High School and served in The U.S. Navy. After his discharge, he worked for The United States Postal Service for 30 years where he eventually retired. He was a past member of the Tarentum area Lion’s Club for many years and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at his camp and farm in Punxsutawney.

Many loving nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces Angela, Danielle and great-nephew Geno.
Besides his parents, Mr. Hoetzlein was preceded in death by his son Jimmy L. Hoetzlein. Five brothers Lawrence, Francis, Edward, Thomas and James; one sister Betty Wilson, brother-in-law Robert (Donna) Gilmore.
Friends will be received on Sunday June 1, 2025, from 1-5pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC. 1607 Pgh. St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday the 2nd at 10am. in Our Lady of Victory/Guardian Angel Parish with burial in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
