Linda L. (Davis) Bell passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Family Hospice, Canterbury Place Skilled Nursing Facility in Lawrenceville. Linda was born Aug. 24, 1951, to her late parents, Richard H. (Bud) and Mary Ella (Lavenets) Davis. Linda was a 1969 graduate of Springdale High School and lived her entire life in the area. She began her career in 1969 when she accepted a job with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, from which she retired after 37 and a half years of service. Linda was an avid reader, enjoyed travel, movies, holiday decorating and baking, oldies, good friends, gift giving and Amish art, and was a true lover of cats. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her dear husband, Brian A. Bell; her maternal grandparents, Stephen and Mary Lavenets; her paternal grandparents, Clyde and Susan Davis; and her father-in-law, Oliver Bell. Linda is survived by her brother, Rick Davis (Barb); sister, Susan Hillery (Michael); mother-in-law, Jean Bell; niece, Chrissy Pazul (Andy) and their son, Drew; as well as many cousins located near and far. Linda loved to laugh and her favorite expression was "the beat goes on." In honor of Linda, take time to read a good book, pet a stray cat (or better yet, adopt one), bake some cookies, have a cold beer, go on a trip and just enjoy life! The family extends their heartfelt thank-you to everyone at Canterbury Place who gave her such wonderful care, as well as the staff of Family Hospice who were there to comfort Linda during her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Kiski Valley Cat and Kitten Rescue, P.O. Box 19, Apollo, PA 15613, or Homeless Cat Management Team, P.O. Box 100203, Pittsburgh, PA 15233.Family and friends are welcome to attend a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 8, at the CHARLES B.
