Kenneth Sherman Kephart

 Kenneth Sherman Kephart 71 of Cheswick passed away April 19. 2026 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.  He was born September 13, 1954, the son of the late Donald and Joan Morrison Kephart and has been a lifelong resident of our valley.  Mr. Kephart worked for Edgewater Steel in Oakmont where he eventually retired.  He also co-owned the former Frosted Mug in Cheswick for many years.  Sherm enjoyed boating on the Allegheny with his brothers, going to car shows around the area, frequently flying to Florida to see his grandchildren and taking them for ice cream and glamping with Jodie and his baby “Sasha” who loved to fall asleep on his lap.  He will be missed by everyone who knows him.

Brother’s Loren (Sharon) Kephart of O’Hara

                 Timothy (Susan) Kephart of Cheswick

                Mitchell (Tammy) Kephart of Harwick

Two grandchildren Noah and Kennedy Kephart

Step-son John (Dana) Arce of Leechburg

Brother-in-law Gregory George Mellish 

As well as many loving nieces and nephews

Besides his parents, Sherm was also preceded in death by his first wife Linda Barker Kephart.

Friends will be received on Thursday April 23, 2026, from 3-8pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St. where services will be conducted on Friday at 11am.  Entombment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  www.jarviefuneralhome.com
