Kay Don Yute, 88, of Frazer Township, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026. He was born on October 6, 1937, in Indiana Township and lived in the area all his life.
Kay Don was retired from PARC in Harmarville where he was a pilot plant operator and supervisor. Formerly he worked for Yute’s Ideal Cleaning in Lower Burrell and Gulf Research in Harmarville.
Mr. Yute was a member of Walter Chapel UM Church, Rural Ridge where over the years he has held offices on several committees and was involved in a variety of church activities. He was a charter-life member of Frazer VFD #2 where he held the office of treasurer from 1975–2002. He also was a member of Y-Knots square dancing club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, square dancing, going to auctions and spending time at his camp in Westline.
Survivors include his son Terrance (Ellie Sieminski) Yute of Frazer Township, his daughter Debra (David) Gould of Tarentum, three granddaughters Heidi Williams of Monaca, Krista (Mark) Arvay of Springdale Township, and Kerri Shoop of New Kensington, five great grandsons Bryce Schoettlin of Virginia, Braden and Ethan Arvay of Springdale Township, Gavin Tady of Tarentum, Hunter Shoop of New Kensington, one brother Roger (Pat) Yute of Lower Burrell, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Linda (Bandi) Yute, a daughter Robin Williams, his parents Addison and Anna Yute, two brothers Addison Yute and Leon Yute, three sisters Anna Dunkle, June McPherson and infant Mary Yute.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Concordia of Fox Chapel and Good Samaritan Hospice for the loving compassionate care they provided to Kay Don.
Friends will be received on Wednesday July 15, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME Inc. 801 Pgh. St. where services will commence at 11am. Thursday. Interment in Lakewood cemetery will be private for his immediate family.
