Kathryn M. (Troyan) Stanga, 92, of Springdale, passed away in Harmar Village, Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Pinchok Troyan and had been a resident of Springdale the past 85 years. She attended Acmetonia and graduated from Springdale High School. Mrs. Stanga was a member of St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Tarentum. Kathryn worked for Keystone Box Co. in Pittsburgh for 20 years, and later Allegheny Valley School District for 13 years driving school bus, and eventually retired to be with her family. She loved to read and travel, working with flowers, yardwork and especially having dinners with the whole family. Surviving her are sons, Joseph (Ramona) Stanga, of Springdale, and Bruno (Lisa) Stanga, of West Deer; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Ryan and Matthew Stanga; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Besides har parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bruno (Cal) Stanga; brothers, Michael, John, Nicholas and James Troyan; and two sisters, Shirley Troyan and Mary Ann Brendle. Services and interment were private for her immediate family. Burial will be in Deer Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are by THE CHARLES B.
