Kathleen A. (Carter) Valenti

Kathleen A. Valenti, 73, of Cheswick, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side. She was born June 23, 1950, in New Kensington, to her parents, the late George and Helen Himelinski Carter. She was a 1968 graduate of East Deer-Frazer High School and has been a lifelong resident of our community. Kathy was a member of St. Alphonsus church in Springdale. She enjoyed baking, sewing, listening to records and music in general. She also had a huge heart for animals of all kind especially dogs and horses. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving her are her loving husband of 50 years, David J. Valenti; son, Mark Valenti, of Hampton, son, Michael Valenti, of Indiana Township, and daughter, Katie (Matt Dempsey) Valenti, of Natrona Heights; sister, Barbara Carter, of Cheswick; and grandchildren, Juliana, Giovanni, Marcia, Rosanna, Logan and Jacqueline. The family wishes a special thanks to Allegheny Health Network's Healthcare at Home team for providing excellent care and support over the past year. Friends are welcome to celebrate her life from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St., where a blessing will commence at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023.
