John "Jack” McMillen, 85, of Indiana Township, passed away Thursday January 30, 2025. He was born to his parents, the late Lester and Margaret Norman McMillen on June 19, 1939, and has been a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from West Deer High School and worked as a Coatings Chemical Technician, most recently at Valspar, until his retirement. Jack was a member of Walter Chapel United Methodist Church and the Indianola Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, making his homemade wine, camping, and spent many years as a Boy Scout Scoutmaster.
Surviving him are:
Daughter Susan (Aaron Keener) Fischer of Cheswick
Son John (Debbie) McMillen of Massachusetts
Two grandchildren Christopher and Kaitlin McMillen
Sister Barbara (John) Elford of Fla.
Besides his parents, Jack was also preceded in death by his wife Nancy McCully McMillen; 2nd wife Bettie Mulley McMillen and one brother Robert McMillen.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC. 1607 Pgh. ST. where services will start at 11am. Wednesday, with burial following in Deer Creek Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Walter Chapel United Methodist Church, 404 Crawford Run Rd. Cheswick, PA 15024.
