John A. Kuslock Jr., 85, of New Kensington, passed away on February 23, 2025, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Born on March 11, 1939, he was the son of the late John Sr. and Elizabeth Vetterly Kuslock.
John honorably served in the United States Army Reserves. He worked as a machinist until his retirement. An avid outdoorsman, he found great joy in hunting, fishing, and riding his four-wheeler with his family. He lived life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by:
His son, Ronald (Elizabeth) Kuslock of Hickory
His daughter, Cheryl Stokes of Lower Burrell
His son, Michael (Kathleen) Kuslock of New Kensington
Four grandsons: Robert, Jared, Austin, and Josh
Two sisters: Joan Mallough and Marge Kuslock
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters: Elizabeth Shurina, Melissa “Mitzie” Laczek, Mag Shuey, Fran Chabal, and Dorothy Walmsley.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at The Charles B. Jarvie Springdale Funeral Home, Inc., 801 Pittsburgh St., where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
