Joan K. (Pochan) Adamchik

Joan K. (Pochan) Adamchik, passed away at her home June 29, 2025.  Born on February 27, 1947, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen Kobus Pochan and a longtime resident of the valley.  She found joy in caring for her cats, news of her grandson’s adventures, past visits to the shore, and unexpected acts of kindness from others.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Adamchik, and Mary (Jacek) Ciesluk, grandson Maddox Ciesluk, sister Nancy Walker, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Pochan, Sylvia George, William Saganes, and John Saganes.

A Memorial for the family and close friends will be held August 1, 2025, at 11am. in Deer Creek Cemetery.

In Remembrance of Joan, acts of kindness are encouraged in her name, such as volunteering, helping a neighbor, or simply offering a genuine compliment.   In lieu of flowers, the gestures would be a beautiful tribute.
