Jean H. (Sutter) Luther

Jean Hazel (Sutter) Luther, 95, of Springdale, passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2021. She was born Aug 29, 1926, to her parents, the late Joseph and Ruth Bowers Sutter. She graduated from Springdale High School in 1946 and had been a longtime resident of our community. She had served on the Judge of Elections Board for many years in Springdale Borough. Mrs. Luther enjoyed reading and traveling. Her greatest passion was Christmas and decorating for the holidays. She will be remembered by all for her outstanding Christmas tree. Survivors include daughter, Rebecca Polsinelli; son, Martin (Bev) Luther; daughter, Patricia Steward; grandchildren, Kyle (Cat) Charpie, Brianna Charpie, Bonnie (Chris) Winwood, Kellie (Mel) Vergerio, Brett (Kenneth) Kam and Kara (Charles) Luther; and great-grandchildren, Katie, Henry and Alex Vergerio. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Luther; and favorite son-in-law, Gene Polsinelli. Her services and interment are private for her immediate family. She will be laid to rest in the Cemetery of The Alleghenies beside her husband, Fred.
