Jean M. Heyl 92, of Cheswick, passed away September 6, 2025, at The Addison Logan Place, Lower Burrell. She was born February 2, 1933, in Claridge to her late parents, Clarence and Irene Kepple Baughman and has been a lifelong resident of our community. Jean graduated from West Penn School of Nursing in 1954 when she obtained her nursing degree. She was married in 1959 and after raising her family, she later went back to the workforce at Harmarville Rehabilitation Center where she eventually retired. Jean was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels for many years in Springdale and an early member of Lower Valley Ambulance Service as well as a devout member of Our Lady of Victory Church /Guardian Angel Parish. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers, reading, and especially spending time with her family. The family wishes to thank the staff of Logan Place and Monarch Hospice.

Bryan Heyl of Arnold
Daughter Jennifer (James) Skoczlas of Peters Twp.
Brother Wayne (Eileen) Baughman of Greensburg
5 Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren
Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Richard Heyl, sister Ethel Coleman and brother John Baughman.
Friends will be received on Friday September 12, 2025, from 1-6 pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC. 1607 Pittsburgh St. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday the 13th at 10am. in Our Lady of Victory Church/Guardian Angel Parish with entombment to follow in Christ the Redeemer Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
