Jean Marie (Mrozinski) Borkovich, 100 and 9 months, passed away Friday June 10, 2022. She was born to her late parents, Thadeus and Casmira (Korpanty) Mrozinski, predeceased by brothers, Raymond and Robert, and was a longtime resident of the Cheswick community. She graduated from Harbrack High School and worked for Alcoa before becoming a stay-at-home mother. During World War II, she worked with the USO selling war bonds, and performed as a big band singer for several Pittsburgh-based orchestras. She enjoyed following her late husband, Andy Borkovich, PGA Professional, on the golf course as an avid spectator and rooter during his participation in local and national tournaments. In the winter, she enjoyed her annual trips with Andy to South Beach for relaxation. Following Andy's passing and always an avid reader with community interests, Jean served for many years on the board of Springdale Free Public Library; Duquesne University Women's Guild; and the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary at Our Lady of Victory Church. Surviving her are daughter, Debra Borkovich of Harwick; nieces and nephews, Ruth Ann, Sally, Bobby, Stephen, John (Deceased), David, Mark, Joy, Jean and Joan; cousins, Christine and Marie; as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
