Janet Grace Nury

Janet Grace Nury, 81, passed away peacefully with family at her side on January 25, 2025.  Born in Harmarville on January 15, 1944, to George and Caroline Nury, Janet attended Springdale High School and was employed for many years at Medrad and Eckerd Drug.  She also served as a long-time caregiver for loved ones including her parents.  Aside from being a loving and devoted sister and aunt, Janet loved cooking, baking, gardening, and crafting wreaths and floral arrangements.  All of her family enjoyed her numerous beautiful and delicious creations.  She was also a lover of the Golden Oldies and listening and dancing to Croatian folk music.  Janet was preceded in death by her parents, George and Caroline Nury, her sister Viola Guercione, her brother Emmett Nury, and an infant sister.  She is also survived by her sisters, Charlotte Copeland, Mary Jane Shurina, Gloria (Rich) Schreckengost, John Nury, Georgia (Jack) James, and was especially fond of her many nieces and nephews.  A private Catholic mass for Janet was held on January 30th at Our Lady of Victory Church – Guardian Angels Parish in Harwick,  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity of your choice in Janet’s memory.
