It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Janet H. (Spence) Grinder on January 13, 2026.
She was born April 11, 1931 to her mother Agnes (Francus) Jarmul and stepfather Albin Jarmul. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loving grandchildren. She’s been a lifetime member of Our Lady of Victory Church/Guardian AngelPparish in Harwick. Janet has left a lasting impression during her 94 years and will be greatly missed.
Loving mother of Gary Grinder; Thomas (Sandra) Grinder, and Jeanne (Raymond) Jazbinsek. Grandmother of Breann Jazbinsek, James (April) Dunmyre, Rebecca Black, Justin (Lindsey) Dunmyre and numerous great-grandchildren as well as one brother James (Donna) Jarmul; one sister Marsha Jarmul; sister-in-law Angie Jarmul and nieces and one nephew.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband George Grinder; daughters Patricia (James) Dunmyre and Kathleen Grinder; brother Richard Jarmul and sister Elaine Bidek.
The family would like to thank UPMC Family Hospice for taking care of mom and the UPMC St. Margaret staff as well. Memorial donations may be sent to Alzheimer’s Association.
Friends will be received on Friday January 16, 2026 from 10am until her blessing service at 11am in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St. with interment to follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
