James (Jim) Frank Remo, 83, of Harwick, PA, passed away peacefully on the evening of Sunday, July 7th. Born on July 30, 1940 in Harwick PA, he was the son of the late Irene Remo Hansen and the late James Remo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Marie Remo.
Jim leaves behind his loving wife, Judith Ann Remo; his beloved sister, Leilani Remo Bracco (Kenneth); three children, Lynne Marie Remo Gaber (Steven) James Frank Remo, Jr. (Dee Ann) and Jeffrey Lee Remo (Laurie); two stepdaughters, Lori Anne Miller (Fred) and Patricia Anne Kelly (Thomas); and his dear sister-in-law, Francine Wian, along with eleven wonderful grandchildren, three precious great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.
A lifelong resident of the area, Jim Remo was the proud owner of J&J Foodland in New Kensington from 1977– 2006. He was blessed with a loving family and many incredible friends. He enjoyed traveling, playing golf, smoking cigars, sipping on his Crown Royal, and spending time with friends, family and his furry companions of which he had many through the years, most recently Bella, his much-loved cat.
A Visitation will be held Thursday July 11th from 2pm – 8pm at CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St. where Blessing Service’s will be held Friday, July 12th, at 10am. followed by interment in Deer Creek Cemetery.
