James E. Marasco Jr., 57, of Springdale, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at his home. Jim was a plumber for 40 years and employed most recent by JEMCO Plumbing and previously the City of Pittsburgh Housing Authority. He liked to hunt, spend time with friends, family and his dog, Titus. Jim was a loving, selfless and kind-hearted person known for his sense of humor, ability to make everyone laugh and his willingness to help anyone. He was a member of the Polish Club in Harwick, where he enjoyed hanging with friends and watching sports. Survivors include his mother, Geraldine (Springer) Marasco. He also leaves behind two brothers, Derek Marasco (Denee) and Anthony Marasco. He was known as Uncle Jimmy to Derek, Maria and Alexa Marasco. Jim will also be terribly missed by his love, Shanna Pate, and her family, Ashley (Nick) Zalepa (JimJim to Bryson and Addyson), Ally and Alanna Pate. He was always surrounded by many friends and family who will miss him dearly, especially his honorary brother, Joe (Sherry) Rulli. He was preceded in death by his father the late James E. Marasco. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St., Cheswick.
