Helen Prasnikar age 87 passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024 (Cheswick/Gibsonia). Born August 18, 1936 in Tarentum. The daughter of late Matthew & Mary (Sloboda) Martonik. Devoted loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, & friend. She enjoyed traveling around the world and cruising. Loved spending time with family swimming, tanning, shopping, and eating out. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs and other pets. Helen made many friends while working in the food service industry at St. Alphonsus, Shuman Center, Acme Club, and the Polish Club.

Helen is survived by daughters Victoria (Nino) Pollino of Cheswick & Kimberly (Dave) Wilson of Gibsonia, brother Bernard (Patricia) Martonik, sisters Gertrude Jonnet and Rose (Ronald) Jacobs deceased brother Richard Martonik, grandchildren Matthew (Jackie) Pollino, Nicholas (Vanessa) Pollino, Eric Pollino, Dustin (Sami Scott) Pollino, & Dalton Wilson, great grandchildren Brayden, Elianna, Tessa, Theo, & Nino Pollino, many nieces and nephews and a special bond with nieces Lenee Arnone and Richelle Jonnet Hunkele.
Friends will be received Wednesday July 17, 2024, from 2-4 6-8pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday the 18th at 10am. Our Lady of Victory/Guardian Angel Parish with burial to follow in Deer Creek Cemetery.
