Fred A. Holler 97, of Cheswick, passed away peacefully in his sleep, in the early morning hours of Nov. 27, 2025, while living with his loving wife of almost 50 years, Rita (Koprivnikar) Holler. Born on September 23, 1928, son of the late Fred A. Holler, Sr. and Theresa (Lukitsch) Holler. Fred grew up in the Spring Garden area of the North Side of Pittsburgh, graduated from Allegheny High School in 1946 where he met his first wife Regina E. (Mushynski) Holler. Fred served in the army during the Korean War as a Code Specialist in Wiesbaden, Germany. Upon his return, he graduated in 1955 from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Industrial Engineering. He worked for various steel companies in the Pittsburgh area and retired in 1991 from Westinghouse EMD in Cheswick. During his first marriage to Regina, Fred had 3 children Michael F. Holler of McCandless, Amy E. Holler (Deceased), and Rebecca (Holler) Maness of Dallas, TX. Fred married his 2nd wife Rita E. (Koprivnikar) Holler of Cheswick in 1976 whom he met at Westinghouse EMD. They lived happily in Cheswick and raised Amy and Rebecca. Rita and Fred enjoyed many activities together; bowling league, golfing, ballroom dancing to the local big bands, and delivering Meals on Wheels.
During his life Fred believed in giving back to his community. He served as Scoutmaster to Troop 377 in West View, he was a board member and President of the American Institute of Industrial Engineering, and a member of the Cheswick Zoning Board. He served as a Trustee, board member and usher of various churches, including Cheswick Presbyterian.
Surviving him are: His loving wife Rita (Koprinikar) Holler 89, daughter Rebecca (Holler) Maness 56/Husband Gerry with granddaughter Payton 15, and grandson Tyler 22. Son Michael F. Holler 69, and grandson Evan M. Holler 33/Husband Robert Hudson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Beside his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his sisters Dolores (Holler) Zelkovic, Theresa (Holler) Fedeanis, his daughter Amy E. Holler, and his first wife Regina (Mushynski) Holler.
Friends will be received on Saturday December 6, 2025, at CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME Inc. 801 Pittsburgh Street, Springdale PA 15144, from 9:30 to 11:00AM.
