Floyd Leroy River Jr., age 80, of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025. Born on February 13, 1945, in Harwick, Pennsylvania, he was the son of late Floyd River Sr. and Mary Runyan River.

Whether pulling pranks on friends and family or lighting up a room with his laughter, he had a gift for bringing joy to those around him. He loved the outdoors – especially hunting and fishing at his camp in East Brady – and his trips to Fort Meyers Beach, Florida.
Floyd was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald River, and his sisters, Joanne Trusiak and Lorraine Welch.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Darlene River, and his sons, Floyd “Bud” River III (Lori River) and Matthew River (Terri Chambers) He also leaves behind his beloved granddaughter, Haleigh Rae River, step-granddaughters, Ashley Olexsak and Nicole Osgood, and many extended family members who will deeply miss him.
