Florence ‘Betty” E. Bell 94, of Springdale, passed away July 25, 2024, in Bayberry Place, Lower Burrell. She was born April 14, 1930, to her parents, the late James and Hilda Morrow Nesbit and has been a longtime resident of Springdale. Mrs. Bell grew up in plum and graduated from Plum High School in 1948 where she played the saxophone in the band and loved music. After graduation Betty worked for The Wearever Plant for some years and the Springdale High School cafeteria, affectionately known as the (Ice Cream) lady. She belonged to The Springdale United Methodist Church and the choir where she sang for 65 years, also the Eastern star Organization. Her enjoyments were cooking and baking pies for her family as well as sewing.

Besides her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her husband William “Beezer” Bell

Friends will be received Sunday July 28, 2024, from 1-5pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St. where services will commence at 11am Monday the 29th with interment to follow in Plum Creek Cemetery. A special thanks to Bayberry Place and Bridges Hospice for the excellent and compassionate care they provided to mom.
