Faye England Obituary

Faye England beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother passed away peacefully on April 10th at the age of 97 surrounded by her loving family.  She was preceded in death by her husband Mitch and her parents.  She is survived by her sister Sue Spear and her daughters, Jane (Dan) Vlastelica and Sheila England, her grandchildren, Beth (Keith) Walters, Lynn (Dennis) DePellegrini, Lisa (Dave Ruslander) Vlastelica, Dawn (Rob) Pogue, Suzanne (Michael) Vogel and Robert Vlastelica, fifteen great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Faye was born in Pleasant Site, Alabama on September 1, 1927.  She moved with her husband, Mitch and their daughters after World War II to Pennsylvania, eventually settling in Cheswick, PA where they surrounded themselves with a network of southern friends.

Faye was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, enjoyed volunteering the hat check at the Syria Mosque and worked for Pennex Corporation 30 years where she made many lifelong friends who meant the world to her.

Faye was affectionately called GG by her family.  She will be remembered for her amazing work ethic and generosity, her love for her family and her famous biscuits.  Faye loved to shop for a bargain closing every mall and was always impeccably dressed in the latest fashion.  She would never allow anyone to pick up the tab for a meal and closely monitored the weather where all of her loved ones lived to be sure that they were safe.  She will be greatly missed by all.  A memorial service will be held later.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Eastern Star Kittanning Chapter #277, 11697 State Route 85, Kittanning, PA 16201.
