Elizabeth (DeMeio) Pierce

Elizabeth Pierce 81, of Cheswick, passed away Thursday November 28, 2024.  She was born January 8, 1943, to her parents, the late Gileo and Elizabeth Fedoush DeMeio and has been a lifetime resident of our area.  Mrs. Pierce graduated from Sacred Heart High School and then went on to graduate from the University of Steubenville. She worked first as a substitute teacher and then as a history teacher for Riverview School District until her retirement.  Her love of history ran deep throughout her entire life.  She loved being outside playing in her yard and gardens with her beloved dogs Abbe and Marley by her side.  When not in her yard, she loved sitting on her front porch reading the NY Times or countless historical books for hours.  Surviving her are:

Son David Pierce of Cheswick

Son Sean Pierce of Plum

Daughter Beth (James Wood) Pierce of Cheswick

Sister Paulette (Charles) Starr of Bakerstown

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband David Pierce.

Friends will be received on Saturday December 7, 2024, from 4 -7pm. in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St.  In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley, 730 Church Street, New Kensington, PA 15068.
