Elizabeth "Bettie" J. (Mulley) McMillen, 79, of Indiana Township, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022. She was born March 27, 1943, in Sharpsburg, to her parents, the late Richard and Anna Mae (Yerkins) Schmidt, and had been a lifelong resident of the Valley. She attended Sharpsburg High School. She was employed for many years by Annette Ganassi Automobile Dealership as a receptionist. She was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed fishing, camping, going to flea markets, wine festival celebrations and shopping. When she could no longer get out to shop, she was an avid online catalog shopper. Mrs. McMillen mostly enjoyed sitting on her patio enjoying the outdoors and the wildlife that surrounded her home. She also loved watching reality TV shows, and especially shows on the HGTV network. Surviving her are loving husband, John "Jack" McMillen; beloved daughter, Jacquelyn A. (Michael) Rouggie, of Indianola; stepdaughter, Susan (Aaron Keener) McMillen; stepson, John (Debbie) McMillen; and stepchildren, Christopher and Kaitlin McMillen. She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Mulley, her "Johnny Angel." and her brother Richard Schmidt. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday Oct. 13, 2022, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St. Final services will commence at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Deer Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Walter Chapel Church, 404 Crawford Run Road, Cheswick, PA 15024.
