Dorothy (Chlodney) Young Sirochman, 95, of Springdale, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021. She was born July 1, 1926, in Springdale, the daughter of the late Andrew and Susanna (Sitek) Chlodney. Dorothy was a very active and fun person. Growing up, she was a Girl Scout Leader, member of CDA and Junior Women's Club. She worked at Scarfin, making shells during the war time; A&P, Springdale; and Gulf Research, Harmar, as well as beautician out of her home. She loved playing cards, bowling, knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles and reading books. She also enjoyed spending her winters after she retired in Fort Myers, Fla. She loved her family and made sure everyone knew it; she was full of endless pride and joy. She is survived by her three children, Robert (Patty) Young, Susan (Joseph) McClure and William (Sharon) Young; 10 grandchildren, Melanie, Bob (Bridget), Meghan, Lindsey (Patrick), Kelsey (Matthew), Henry (Taylor), Billy, Krista, Haley (Tyler) and Jimmy; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Donald (Dorothy) Chlodney. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Young (m.1946; d.1975); husband, Edward M Sirochman (m.1991; d.2014); brother, Andrew (Rita) Chlodney; and daughter-in-law, Christine Young. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29 in St. Alphonsus Church, Guardian Angels Parish, Springdale.
