Dorothy June Boyle 95, of Springdale, passed away at home surrounded by her family on February 24, 2025. She was born June 8, 1929 to her late parents, Joseph and Helen Goyla Hegedus. Dorothy was a lifetime resident of the area and worked as a private duty Registered Nurse before working at Harmarville Rehabilitation Center where she eventually retired. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Springdale where she was a Eucharistic Minister. Dorothy delivered Meals-on-Wheels and was a member of The Ladies of Charity, The Red Hat Ladies Society and the New Kensington Eagles. Dorothy was also a member of bowling, golfing, bocce, and dart leagues. Her favorite pastime was playing cards, word search, vacationing and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving her are:
Daughter Adrienne (Ron) Virostek of O’Hara
Daughter Mary Dattola (late husband Christopher) of West Deer
Daughter Beth (Randy) Overly of Springdale
Son Edmund F. Boyle (Barbara Springel) of Harwick
Daughter Kathryn (Greg) Weimerskirch of Springdale
9 Grandchildren and
11 Great-grandchildren
And her sweet sweet kitty Cleo
Besides her parents, Dorothy is also preceded in death by her husband Edmund F. Boyle and one brother Joseph Hegedus.
Dorothy’s family is very grateful for the love, kindness and support that all her caregivers provided over the last few years We are also grateful for the Ladies of Charity who stop by to give mom communion as well. Thank you all
