Donna Louise Thompson

Donna Louise Thompson, 75, of Harmar Township, passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 29, 1946, to her late parents, Ned "Cooney" and Rose Nehemiah Hanna and has been a longtime resident of the community. Mrs. Thompson served in the Air Force, where she eventually was honorably discharged. After the service, she became a registered nurse and worked for the Veteran's Administration in Pittsburgh. She belonged to Crosspointe Christian Church in Harmar and loved attending Christian concerts, cooking and gardening, helping anyone and everyone and especially spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her loving husband of 52 years, John W. Thompson; son, Jon "J.J."( Caroline) Thompson, of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; brother, Ned Hanna Jr.; and cousins, Danny and Sandra DeAngelo. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Hanna. Her family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022 in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pittsburgh St., where services will commence at 7 p.m. following visitation.
